A site-specific work answers its place. That means time spent reading how people move through a space, how the light falls, and what a form needs to hold for the people who use it. Public sites also bring engineering, safety, and council or landowner approval, all planned in from the first sketch.
Across Tāmaki Makaurau that has meant carved ground-plates, standing stones, and perforated-metal walkway panels, each set for the spot it stands in.
